SCALING TECHNOLOGY FOR SOCIETAL IMPACT

As part of the Microsoft Elevate Program, A4I develops, manages and scales digital public goods to serve communities facing systemic barriers to opportunity, care or information. 

We believe in technology with purpose. Using AI led innovation to ease everyday challenges, solve real problems at the grassroots level. 

At present, our work is focused on supporting women, children, and teachers, who are the foundation of our society and essential to building a more equitable world.We envision a future where opportunity and access to reliable tech is not scarce. 

A4I is designed to nurture a strong ecosystem that prioritizes inclusive and sustainable development. With support and funding from Microsoft Philanthropies, we are committed to scaling solutions that create measurable social impact.

A4I Vision: DPGs at the Population Scale

A4I’s vision is to transform breakthrough AI innovations into Digital Public Goods—open-source tools licensed under MIT and ready for global use. By working side-by-side with NGOs and domain experts, we adapt each innovation to local realities and deploy it at meaningful scale.

A4I Innovation Hub: Actions Beyond Technology

Technology alone can’t sustain social impact. Acting as an innovation hub, A4I blends engineering with independent research, continuous learning, and strong governance. We foster an ecosystem where technologists, academics, and civil-society partners co-create, study outcomes, and iterate. This ensures that every solution keeps improving and remains responsible, equitable, and effective over time.
