Platform Strategy: Power to the end users

1 Min read

Let me confess! Being of my age, I am merely a closet programmer. Every now and then, hiding behind my Jupyter Notebooks, I try to experiment and understand new concepts. But transformational product conceptualization and large platform architecture are entirely different love stories. That is why listening to Gregor Hohpe (whom I admire for his platform insights) in his recently dropped YouTube video was a pleasure. Gregor talked about the role of abstraction in platform architecture.

We have undertaken an ambitious platform development for building sophisticated Enterprise applications on Gen-AI. Given the rapidly evolving Gen-AI landscape, it is like building a castle on shifting sands. However, we provide a powerful abstraction layer that hides the technology complexities and provides a library of services to the end users for building complex enterprise applications—just by configuration.

Magic! Isn’t it? But that is the power of choosing the right platform strategy. Well done, team!

Our aim is simple. Give power to business users and let them create the magic. Gregor points out in his talk, “If your users haven’t built something that surprised you, you probably didn’t build a platform.”

Well said, Gregor.
